Community Outreach

Dorcas Circle Ministry

Women of St. Paul gather in the After School Care room on the 2nd and 4th Monday mornings starting at 10am of each month to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief.  They spend time in fellowship while working to serve the Lord.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Leader: Linda Petig

Prayer Shawl Ministry has over a dozen ladies who meet together the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month in the Cafe Koinonia at 12:15 until 2:15pm.  They make shawls and lap robes to donate.  Each shawl takes the message of care, comfort and love to those in our midst who are in nursing homes or homebound with illnesses.  If you don't crochet or knit or can't make the meetings, you can still be a part of this ministry by making shawls at home, donating yarn or through prayer.

Men's A-MEN

Leader: Ed Bieno

A-MEN is the name of a group of men in the Amherst, Stevens Point and Kellner areas that are centered around doing Christian servant events, doing positive things in the lives of others and having fun while we perform them.

We meet on the 4th Tuesday evening of each month at 6:30 pm at various locations. Any questions contact:

Lutheran Women's Missionary League

Leader: Sue Hintz

This group meets in the spring and fall with other women in our church circuit.  All St. Paul members are encouraged to collect mites (spare change) and bring their donations to the office. This money supports the district and international projects. Learn more about LWML by visiting Lutheran Women in Mission - North Wisconsin District

Nursing Home Chapel Services

A group of St. Paul Ladies regularly visit Stevens Point Care Center, Portage County Care Facility, and Harmony nursing homes to assist pastors with chapel services. They meet the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays in each month.

Cupboards for Christ

Leader: Jean Berna

Food Pantry serves people in the congregation and community in need. Feel free to bring non-perishable items to the Cafe Cupboards or monetary donations to the office.
